 Alan D. Singer
Alan D. Singer has been a practicing attorney since 1968. His practice focuses on real estate, both commercial and residential, and he has represented sponsors, developers and individuals in all aspects of real estate for more than 30 years. His specialties include real estate transactions, financing, planning and zoning. In addition he has authored dozens of Offering Plans for the sale of cooperatives, condominiums (both conversions and new construction) and Homeowner Associations for some of the largest Real Estate Developers in Westchester County.
Mr. Singer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Allegheny College (1965) and Juris Doctor ( cum laude ) degree from Northwestern University School of Law (1968). Upon graduating from law school Mr. Singer served for three and one-half years as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York where he was the assistant bureau chief of the appeals bureau, where he argued numerous cases before the State Court of Appeals, and a trial assistant in the felony trial bureau. He then moved up to White Plains and after working as an associate for two years, opened his own practice, specializing in Real Estate and Commercial Litigation.
Mr. Singer joined Welby, Brady & Greenblatt in April, 2007 as Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group where he will focus on all aspects of sophisticated real estate matters. He is admitted to practice in New York State, the Southern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the White Plains, Westchester and New York State Bar Associations as well as the Builders Institute of Westchester and Mid-Hudson Region.
