ADAM W. DOWNS
Adam W. Downs received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resource Management from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor Degree from Pace University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the States of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of Connecticut and the District of New Jersey, and is an Accredited Professional under the United States Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards (LEED AP ®).
Mr. Downs is experienced in the management and litigation of complex construction and development-related disputes, as well as a broad range of practice areas faced by both businesses and individuals associated with the construction and development fields, such as contract claims, environmental issues, mechanic’s liens, real estate, labor issues, debtor/creditor rights, surety law, arbitration and mediation.
Mr. Downs is an active member of the White Plains Bar Association, Westchester County Bar Association and New York City Chapter of the United States Green Building Council. He has also had articles published relating to the construction law and green building. Prior to embarking on a career in the legal profession, Mr. Downs worked in residential construction and landscaping.
