JOHN J.P. KROL
John J.P. Krol is an attorney and professional engineer in New York State. Since 1973, as engineer or attorney, Mr. Krol has represented owners, developers, public agencies, general contractors, subcontractors, specialty contractors, architects, engineers, designers, sureties, insurers, and manufacturers involved in public and private commercial buildings, industrial plants, heavy highway construction, sports facilities, laboratory and marine construction, and institutional, school, and government buildings.
Mr. Krol received his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.
Mr. Krol is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York, and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Eastern, and Southern districts of New York, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court for Federal Claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is an arbitrator and mediator for the American Arbitration Association, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, former General Counsel to the Metropolitan Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America, former Chair of the Construction Law Committee of the Bar Association of Nassau County.
Mr. Krol has lectured on construction contracts in law at Cornell University, School of Law; at the City College of New York; and at Manhattan College. He is author of the John Wiley& Sons treatise, Construction Contract Law.
