Jared Hand Leads Arbitration Team to Victory

Jared Hand led Pace Law School\'s Baseball Arbitration Team to victory last weekend at Tulane\'s National Baseball Arbitration Competition in New Orleans. Pace alum and coach, Jared Hand, along with his teammates, beat out forty teams including those from the University of Vermont, the University of Virginia, Stanford, Villanova, John Marshall and Tulane for the top honors of First Place.

The judges were extremely impressed with the team\'s professionalism, knowledge of the law and arbitration skills. The team left a positive impression of Pace Law School\'s Advocacy Program with the competitors and judges involved in the competition.

Jared Hand is a Graduate of Pace Law School and competed on the Baseball Arbitration Team for two years while studying before becoming the team\'s Coach and a member of Welby, Brady & Greenblatt, LLP.

The Competition\'s main goal is to provide participants with the opportunity to sharpen their oral and written advocacy skills. This competition is unique in that it permits law students to sharpen these skills within the specialized context of Major League Baseball\'s salary arbitration proceedings. This year teams from across the country competed for two days in simulated salary arbitrations modeled closely on the procedures used by Major League Baseball.
